Creating a Climate for Change

Report to the 218th General Assembly (2008) from (ACREC)

The Advocacy Committee for Racial Ethnic Concerns (ACREC) assesses the implementation of cultural proficiency in the six corporate entities related to the General Assembly through face-to-face consultations, data collection and analysis. The data is reported by the agencies in two formats — by occupational category and by salary range. The graphs linked below show the total employment percentages of each agency by race, ethnicity and gender, broken down by salary range.  The statistical tables on which the graphs are based are found in Appendix B of Creating a Climate for Change.

Beginning with the ACREC Task Force Report to the 216th General Assembly (2004), one of the more significant concerns identified by the committee has been the lack of diversity in the top echelons of all six entities. The committee’s analysis of the current posture of each agency is found in the narrative section of the report Creating a Climate for Change. PDF icon
