Besides documenting the ongoing discrepancy between experiences of clergy women and men, the report highlights the need for further analysis of all clergy and draws attention toward women's enduring struggle in the ministry.

1998 Report on the Military and Sexual Exploitation and Abuse of Women

Explores issues of rape in war, prostitution and sexual harassment in the military, and the church's role in addressing the needs of women as related to these issues. The report includes ACWC's recommendations adopted by the 210th GA concerning this issue. The council for military chaplains invited ACWC to assist with an educational session on the problem of prostitution around us military bases. This event helped plant seeds for a stronger partnership between the two groups; this fall they will form a task force of military chaplains and advocates to investigate how military chaplains can contribute to ending the sexual exploitation of women around military installations.
