The Asian-American Educational Ministry Team (EMT) was formed to meet the specific needs and challenges facing Asian-North American churches.  Its membership consists of people from diverse ministry situations and various geographical regions.

Mission Statement

We seek to promote life-changing education ministry for Asian-American congregations by:
  1. Empowering people to deepen their passion for God and to discover and develop spiritual gifts;
  2. Enabling people to teach with confidence through understanding the fundamentals of ministry; and
  3. Equipping people with skills and methods to maximize their effectiveness in educational ministry.



Goals of Educational Ministry Team

We aspire to accomplish the following objectives with Asian-American congregations:

  1. Assess and diagnose current educational needs;
  2. Plan educational programs;
  3. Develop, promote, and implement leaders and resources; and
  4. Network with leaders to share, encourage and support the educational ministries.


Educational Ministry Team Programs

  1. Review and catalog currently available educational materials for the Asian-American ministry context
  2. Offer regional and national training events for people in educational ministry
  3. Equip Asian-American educational ministry specialists to consult with local churches
  4. Offer a track for "Multicultural Ministry in an Asian-North American Context" at APCE conferences
