It is based on four major themes within the Bible: incarnation, covenant and relationship, liberation and justice, and salvation. Bible Quest’s objective is to help all Christians connect with the Bible in such a way that it relates to their lives and life experiences. It illustrates to participants how to live in the world as disciples of Jesus Christ.

There are four steps in each Bible Quest session:

  • Prepare for the Story: An environment is created through sounds and sights in which the learners experience the story.
  • Tell the Story: The learners experience the story through storytelling, drama, music, and art.
  • Connect with the Story: The learners share their understanding of the story with others and hear how others interpret the story.
  • Celebrate the Story: The learners affirm together their new understandings of the story and celebrate God's presence.

This format of curriculum is easy to use and follow. In every quarter, all learners will focus on some Bible stories that are the same across all age levels. These are called Bookmark Stories and they are designed to form a solid biblical foundation.
