Please review the entire schedule before you begin to register. Some participants will spend most of their time with the track of one of the ten conferences, but the Big Tent is designed so that you may experience aspects of several programs over the three days. As you might imagine, the Big Tent has numerous offerings. We suggest that you either use the schedule to assist you during the online registration process or download a registration PDF icon form to guide your selections.

The schedule is grouped by types of activities (plenaries, workshops, etc.). Workshop titles, as they appear on the online registration form, are in bold.

Leadership

Participants of the Big Tent will enjoy leadership from a diverse group of people from across the denomination. Leaders for worship, workshops, plenaries and tours reflect a Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) concerned about yesterday, today and tomorrow! Read leader biographies.

We Can’t Wait: A Young Adult Experience

Young adults are an important voice in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). They are ready to serve and have demonstrated faith in many ways within the PC(USA). Young Adults can’t wait for the church to be ready for them; they are ready NOW! The Big Tent offers a unique opportunity for young adults (ages 18-35) to gather for inspiration, discipleship, and service to the community. [Read more]

  • Opening worship on Thursday, at 7:30 p.m. The preacher is Anna Carter Florence, the Peter Marshall Associate Professor of Homiletics at Columbia Theological Seminary.
  • Morning worship on Friday, at 9:00 a.m. The preacher is Claudio Carvalhaes; he is Assistant Professor of Worship and Preaching at Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary.
  • Closing worship on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. The preacher for this service will be announced later.

Some of the partner conferences include additional opportunities for worship and Bible study. For more information, download the Big Tent schedule. PDF icon

Associated events

The Big Tent already has hundreds of workshops, plenaries, tours and opportunities for worship and gathering the community. But a number of groups have also chosen to hold events around the Big Tent to take advantage of both the number of Presbyterians gathering, as well as the diversity!
