Comings and Goings is a blog written by Theology, Worship and Education Director Charles B. "Chip" Hardwick as he travels throughout the church. God is on the move out and about in the world, working to redeem all things in Jesus Christ. As we join this mission, by the power of the Spirit we see God on the move. This blog contains glimpses of how Chip finds this to be true in his comings and goings.
You can follow Chip on twitter (@chiphardwick) or find him on Facebook (Chip Hardwick).
I’m grateful for the opportunity to preach fairly regularly as I travel throughout the church. I will post them periodically, as I do three recent sermons here.
The first was in the Presbytery of Great Rivers (Peoria, IL), where I preached a sermon called “The Rear View Mirror vs. the Windshield” on Isaiah 43:14-21 on March 5.
The second was in the Presbytery of the Cascades (Salem, OR), where I preached a sermon called “Easy Questions, Hard Questions” on Mark 8:27-30 on March 15.
The third was this morning (April 3) in chapel at the Presbyterian Center (Louisville, KY), where I preached a sermon called “Linens and Things” on John 20:1-10.
I’ll pray alongside you that God uses these in your life in some small way.
