On Voting for Unity...

The post that appeared under this title on April 19, 2011 was seen by some in our denomination as potentially influencing (whether intentionally or inadvertently) one or more debates currently before of our presbyteries. While not at all my intention, I respect the concern that has been raised and so am withdrawing my reflections until after all the presbyteries have completed their voting.

It is up to each of our presbyteries to debate the issues and make decisions apart from the opinions of denominational staff, and I regret if I inadvertently crossed that line in my attempt to encourage the church to reflect theologically an important issue before us.
