Seeking peace. Striving for justice. Together.
The Presbyterian Peacemaking invites you to join in the 2014 Travel Study Seminar to South Africa: Twenty Years Toward Justice, Equality and a Lasting Peace. In this 12 day trip we'll explore this still-transforming nation's efforts to overcome the legacies of state-imposed racial and economic inequality and build a new nation marked by justice, equality and reconciliation. We'll meet with past and present church and community leaders and learn more about South Africa's ongoing struggles including the HIV and AIDS pandemic, land redistribution, educational reforms, and racial reconciliation. Visit the Peacemaking Program's Travel Study Seminar page for a full itinerary, information and an online application form. Limited space is still available. Financial assistance may be available from your congregation or mid-council from their Peacemaking Offering funds.
