Say No UNiTE logoIn July last year the Secretary-General’s UNiTE to End Violence against Women campaign proclaimed every 25th of the month as Orange Day. Initiated and led by the UNiTE campaign Global Youth Network, worldwide activities implemented on this day by UN country offices and civil society organizations strive to highlight issues relevant to preventing and ending violence against women and girls, not only once a year, on 25 November (International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women), but every month.

To serve humanity

The International Day of Peace was established by the United Nations on September 21 and is observed with celebrations and different events that work toward of peace. This day reminds me that despite all the world's  conflicts, people can still contribute to peace through small actions.

Initiatives can be as simple as lighting a candle to pray for peace, to as big as standing up to the Taliban to fight for education like Malala Yousafzai. Malala Yousafzai is an amazing young woman who has fought to bring peace ...
