A Call to Prayer
Recent events are again threatening the health of the residents of La Oroya. Faith leaders and others in Peru are opposing attempts to re-open the smelter without putting in place the environmental safeguards that would ensure that more pollution does not take place.
An Interfaith Prayer Vigil is scheduled for Thursday, March 22 in Peru, and people of faith there are calling on us to join them in prayer.

Pray for Those Fasting for Just Wages
People of fath join other advocates in a six day fast outside Publix grocery headquarters in Lakeland, Florida, March 5-10, praying for Publix to have a change of heart and practice with respect to the grocery industry’s high volume/low cost purchasing practices on tomato pickers’ wages and working conditions.
