For Pastors and Youth Leaders

For more than 100 years, Presbyterians have been deepening their faith through experiences at camp, retreat and conference centers.  An experience at summer camp can augment your congregation’s faith development by providing more than 125 hours of direct contact, living in Christian community and hearing the Gospel taught and lived by young adult role models. Retreats for youth, adults and session groups serve as time away from our lives to reflect, be quiet and listen for the call of Jesus in our lives.

According to the August 2002 Presbyterian Panel, more than 50 percent of pastors, elders and congregants who can remember a specific formative faith experience had that experience at a camp, retreat or conference center.
