PIFs may be submitted to Church Leadership Connection (CLC)
by:
PC(USA) Ministers of Word and Sacrament;
PC(USA) Candidates for Ordination; and
Lay professionals who are members of a PC(USA) congregation.
To complete a
PIF:
Individual accesses the CLC web page (http://www.pcusa.org/clc)
and prints or downloads a hard copy of PIF Parts I and II.
Individual completes a working draft version of the PIF.
Individual accesses the CLC web site (http://www.pcusa.org/clc)
and enters the PIF on-line; CLC generates a login ID and password
for the individual and generates an email message to the Stated
Clerk of presbytery of PCUSA Ministers of the Word and Sacrament
requesting attestation of the individual’s standing
in presbytery; if the individual is a Candidate for Ordination,
CLC generates an email to the CPM requesting confirmation
that the candidate has been certified ready to receive a call
and has been given approval to circulate the PIF.
CRS staff reviews and releases the PIF (if complete); the
PIF is added to the CLC database and is available for matching.
Individual accesses the CLC web site and reviews the listings
on "Opportunities Search" then self-refers by email
or regular mail to positions of interest. Individual attaches
or encloses a copy of their PIF to the self-referral.
Individual logs in to the system and views a list of CIFs
to which his/her PIF has been referred; individual then can
contact positions to confirm their interest and/or review
their PIF to make changes that will result in more accurate
referrals.
After the PIF has been active 9 months, the system generates
an email message to the individual notifying them they must
update and extend their PIF annually.
After the PIF has been in the system 12 months, an email
message is generated to the Stated Clerk of presbytery requesting
that the individual’s standing in presbytery be re-attested,
or to the CPM asking for re-confirmation of approval to circulate
the PIF.
When the individual accepts a call or terminates their search;
they notify CRS by phone call, email, or completion of the
"Notify CRS of a New Call" on their Task List.
CRS processes the call or termination and removes the PIF
from the data base.

Persons completing a PIF are asked to give their minimum acceptable
cash salary, excluding housing and other benefits or allowances.
