• Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) Ministers of the Word and Sacrament.
• PC(USA) Candidates for ministry “certified ready for examination for ordination pending a call”.
• Church educators, deacons, elders and lay professionals who are members of a PC(USA) congregation.
• Ministers of other denominations who are transferring their membership to PC(USA) and have completed the requirements for transfer except for the call.

Ministers of Formula Partner Denominations (ELCA, RCA, and UCC)

If you are a minister of a Formula Partner denomination (Reformed Church in America,
Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, and the United Church of Christ), under “Orderly Exchange” you may serve as installed or temporary pastor of PC(USA) congregations by invitation from a presbytery. If you are interested in such service, you are encouraged to talk with your own judicatory of membership and then with that support, make yourself available to PC(USA) presbyteries in which you are able to serve. In the spirit of orderly exchange, you are advised not to contact congregations directly, but to work through the presbytery. The Process for Orderly Exchange is:

1. Contact your regional governing body for authorization to make yourself available for orderly exchange.
2. Ministers use the personnel form of their own denomination.
3. Contact a regional staff person of the partner church in the area you wish to serve and follow that church’s procedure.
