51 Ways to Improve Your Web Site
Your church Web site has enormous potential as part of your outreach strategy to reach into your community. However, not all churches understand how to design a site that will do this effectively. This workshop can help you assess your site and guide you to make changes and improvements. View the workshop slide presentation.

Is MySpace also ChurchSpace?
MySpace is only one of the many social networking sites that you can be using to build online community within the church. Now there’s Facebook — and don’t forget Second Life. Learn how to use these powerful tools for communication, fellowship and outreach. View the workshop slide presentation.

Using New Media Effectively
We’re blogging, we’re podcasting, we’re sharing video online. This session will introduce you to a variety of ways to reach your audience using the newest tools and communications channels, with a focus on choosing the appropriate medium for your message. View the workshop slide presentation.

Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) Graphics Library
The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) provides free artwork, symbols, seals, logos and photos to PC(USA) governing bodies and local congregations to support their mission and ministries. The images are available in high and low resolution and may be downloaded for use in Web sites, bulletins, newsletters and other communication pieces.

RSS feeds
PC(USA) makes six different RSS feeds available that you can use to provide current news and information on your Web site or blog. RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a way to collect and monitor regular updates to Web-based content. Many Web sites, blogs and other online publishers syndicate their content as a RSS feed to whoever wants it.

Making your church's Web site accessible
Designing an accessible Web site is an excellent means of providing valuable information and easy navigation for all web users. Welcoming existing church members and prospective new members via an accessible Web site is an excellent form of evangelism.

Translate your Web site into various languages
Babel Fish is a free online translation service developed by the Altavista search engine. It has the ability to translate pages or an entire site into different languages. Lake Michigan Presbytery is already using the program. Would it benefit you, your congregation or community?
