- Evangelism
& Church Growth in Africa (404902) - Spreading
the gospel of Jesus Christ remains at the very center of our
Presbyterian global mission. The PCUSA continues to partner
with churches in Africa as they reach out to unreached populations,
train pastors and lay leaders, build churches, manses and

in Africa to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ can be magnified.

work has pushed forward but still has some of the longer Old
Testament books to translate, such as Isaiah, Jeremiah, and
Ezekiel. The Anuak church in Ethiopia is growing and the demand

Bible School has begun training lay leaders for the 7 people
groups within the Southwest Bethel Synod of the EECMY. Through
their passion for evangelism, Christian believers have started
over 25 new congregations in the last 5 years. Lay leaders
are leading the movement but need more training, since most
have no Bible training and many have only a 6th grade education.
The Bible School is their only opportunity for future education.
Funding is needed for student scholarships, training conferences,
and the envisioned 2-year Bible Program.

- EECMY
Student Ministry and Leadership Training (048008)

are gathered from many of the 87 people groups in Ethiopia,
and College graduates occupy high leadership positions in
church, government, medical, business, and judicial systems.
Your gifts help train both student and congregational leaders
for life-transforming service, leadership, and evangelism
in the church, in government and in business.

- EECMY
Evangelism Program (863170) - Gifts to this ECO assist
the Ethiopian Evangelism Church Mekane Yesus (EECMY) in responding

New Church Building (051626) - Building new churches

shop on it. The building itself is just a concrete and steel
warehouse, but the walls inside are almost exactly where one
would put then if one wanted to build a church with a sanctuary,
an office, other multi-purpose rooms, and is manse. There
is adequate parking, which is critical for churches these
days, and there is a traffic signal to help people enter from
all directions. With funding from other sources available,

of the expansion of the church in Kumamoto City to reality.
