Welcome
New Evangelism Director invites you to attend
Welcome! I am Eric Hoey, the new director for Evangelism and Church Growth. I am delighted that you are interested in attending the first national Presbyterian conference that will offer the full spectrum of evangelism ministries in one location.
The desire of my heart for you and your church would be to gain a passion to be more effective in bringing others to experience the life transforming grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. I hope you register as soon as possible, and I look forward to seeing you at the conference.
Blessings,
Eric
Director, Evangelism and Church Growth

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
For as many years as I can remember, the “E” word has been lurking in the shadows of our church vocabulary.
It certainly has become “that which must not be named” for many of the churches in our denomination. I’m not sure whether we are afraid that it might paint a picture of us that is unflattering or if we are merely terrified, unequipped, ill prepared or unaware of the need for Evangelism in our world today. Whatever the case, we have certainly abdicated our birthright when it comes to evangelism.
The offices in the Evangelism area are joining together to present the first National Presbyterian Evangelism Conference in Nashville at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Conference Center, August 30 – September 3, 2007. If you have previously attended any of the individual office events, you won’t want to miss this one!
See you in Nashville!
The Rev. Philip Lotspeich, Chair
2007 National Presbyterian Evangelism Conference
Pastor, Faithbridge Presbyterian Church, Frisco, Texas.

Why attend the National Presbyterian Evangelism Conference?
This first of its kind conference brings together Presbyterians from across the church and others interested in small, rural and urban ministries, and multicultural ministries. New church development, congregational transformation, and health ministries are integral parts of this conference as well.
You’ll hear from dynamic speakers and workshop leaders, and participate in engaging discussions.

Welcome to Nashville and to the Presbytery of Middle Tennessee
Our region is one of the fastest growing areas of the nation and filled with both history and newness all around. The change is reflected in the diversity of our church life together and the mission we have been called to in living out the Good News of Jesus Christ. It seems appropriate that we celebrate together what God is calling us to do as we find our identity and calling by sharing our commitment to "Come and see . learn and grow . and go and witness."
Phil Leftwich is the executive presbyter of the Presbytery of Middle Tennessee.
