PC(USA) - Financial Aid for Studies

Parent Loans

Loans will be awarded to parents or guardians of students in order to meet the family contribution for a student's educational expenses. Student loan eligibility and award must be established before a parent loan will be considered. The interest rate for 2007-2008 will be announced in April 2007.

Criteria

be members of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.);
be U.S. citizens or permanent residents of the United States;
demonstrate financial need;
give satisfactory evidence of financial reliability;
be a parent or legal guardian of a student enrolled in an accredited institution of higher education.

What is ‘financial reliability’ for a student or parent loan?

Range of Loan

Parents may borrow up to $5,000.00 per year to a maximum of $20,000.00 per family.
