AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION

The Richmond Airport is located about 10 -15 minutes from downtown, and about 20-25 minutes from the west end hotels.

Look for volunteers from the Committee on Local Arrangements at the airport on Thursday, Friday and Saturday; they will provide assistance and directions to ground transportation.

G.A. shuttles will operate from the airport to the assembly hotels on peak arrival dates. These are complimentary for participants, and depart from the exit near the baggage claim area.

The schedule is:
Friday, June 25 — 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Saturday, June 26 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

For those arriving at other dates and times, use taxis or Groom Transportation vans. Both depart from the baggage claim level. Cab fare is about $20 to downtown.

RETURN AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION

GA shuttles will operate from the convention center to the airport on Saturday, July 3 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. On that morning, shuttles will start operating from the hotels at 6:30 a.m., and luggage storage is provided at the convention center until 3 p.m.

Detailed information on return transportation to the airport and Saturday luggage storage will be distributed at the assembly.

ASSEMBLY TRANSPORTATION

Most assembly hotels are located a half mile more from the convention center, and some are 10 – 15 minutes away in the west end. Shuttles will operate between the convention center and all but the two closest hotels beginning Friday, June 25. The shuttle schedule will be distributed at registration and at the assembly hotels. There is frequent service each morning (starting early enough for optional breakfast events) and evening, with regular off-peak service in the middle of the day.
