| RICHMOND, June 30 - Native American Presbyterians played host to about 100 guests Tuesday evening at the Assembly dinner of the Native American Consulting Committee (NACC) in the Richmond Convention Center.
It was a casual, hospitable event, warm and intimate despite the large room. Participants introduced themselves, many commenting that they attend the annual event because of the warm atmosphere.
Members and officers of the NACC presented small gifts to those in attendance, along with prayer scrolls made by Native American Presbyterians across the United States. The event included an update on Native American congregations in the Presbyterian Church (USA), and a message from Vernon Carroll, chair of the General Assembly Council, a member of the Blackfeet tribe. |
