RICHMOND, June 3 - Having finished all of its programmatic decisions, the 216th General Assembly Saturday morning approved revised per-capita budgets for 2005 and 2006 that are about $150,000 higher than originally proposed.
Elder Judy Hartley, the moderator of the Committee on General Assembly Procedures, said the total cost of actions approved by this Assembly will be $8,900 in 2004, more than $155,000 in 2005, and $162,800 in 2006. She said the additional 2004 cost can be absorbed in existing budgets.
The 2005 and 2006 budgets were revised upward, to $12.6 million for 2005 and $15.2 million for 2006.
Accordingly, the Assembly adopted a per-capita apportionment of $5.57 per member for both years, an increase of 6 cents over this year's apportionment. |
