Force on Peace, Unity, and Purity and have your questions answered
by Task Force members. The ticket price includes a continental

The candidates for Moderator of the 217th General Assembly (2006)
will be available to meet commissioners, advisory delegates,
and other participants.

Pre-assembly Event: “Visions of Peace and Justice in Israel
and Palestine” $25.00 (Convention Center)
Sponsored by the PC(USA) Israel/Palestine Project Team. This
pre-assembly event will share visions and perspectives regarding
justice and peace in Israel and Palestine. It is not a forum
for or against proposed items of GA business. The program will
include a current assessment of human rights; a panel of Jewish,
Muslim, and Christian leaders sharing their visions for a just
peace; a description of Presbyterian ministry and mission; and
time for general discussion. Confirmed speakers include Mr.
Mark Pelavin, Associate Director of the Religious Action Center
of Reform Judaism; Mr. Salam Al-Marayati, Director of Muslim
Public Affairs Council Bishop; Dr. Munib Younan, Evangelical
Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land. The ticket price
includes a boxed lunch.

Particularly for commissioners, this event will include an overview
of issues before the General Assembly, GA procedures, and recommendations
on how to function most faithfully and effectively. This is
a brown bag event, so bring your box lunch from pre-GA events,
or pick up a sandwich at one of the concession stands. Even
though there is no charge for this event, please include it
in your registration so that we know how people to expect.
