The Moderator’s Office began a limited process of coordinating visits through synods in 2000. Each year we added the number of synods that would, in consultation with the presbyteries, provide an itineration within their bounds for an eight- to 10-day period. With the visits of the Moderator and/or Vice-Moderator of the 218th General Assembly, we will be moving fully into this process.
Presbyteries and congregations
Visits to and with presbyteries and congregations will be coordinated through the synod. If you wish to have a visit by the Moderator and/or Vice-Moderator please contact your synod office. You may also send a copy of the email to Joyce E. Evans, Assistant to the Stated Clerk and GA Moderator, at joyce.evans@pcusa.org.
If your visit request is a collaboration between presbyteries or within several synods, please communicate with each of the synods involved and copy Joyce. We will soon provide a schedule indicating when the Moderator and/or Vice-Moderator will visit a particular synod.
Conferences or seminaries
If your request is for a visit to a conference or seminary, please write to Joyce E. Evans and include the name of the conference, date(s), place, purpose and what you’d like the Moderator and/or Vice-Moderator to do.
