| Permanent Judicial Commission
Decision 212-7
Daniel O. Hennigan
v.
Presbytery of Charlotte
This remedial case has come before this Commission as a request that the Commission assume original jurisdiction over the complaint by Daniel O. Hennigan against the Presbytery of Charlotte over an alleged irregularity on the part of the Presbytery on the grounds that the permanent judicial commission of the Synod of the Mid-Atlantic failed to act on the complaint for a period of ninety days after the filing of the complaint (D-3.0103). The Moderator, Clerk, and other officers of the Commission have examined the papers filed with the request and determined that the correspondence indicates that the Synod permanent judicial commission has been processing the case, albeit rather slowly.
Accordingly, the request to assume original jurisdiction is denied.
The Synod permanent judicial commission is encouraged to reach a resolution in this case expeditiously.
Catherine Borchert, member of the Commission, was not present for the deliberations and final decision.
