The Tucson Borderlands is a site of the Presbyterian Church U.S.A. Young Adult Volunteer Program. Our mission is to provide an opportunity for the volunteers to live in community while serving in a variety of positions. These positions range from helping lead educational delegations in Mexico, to working with college students at the University of Arizona, to filling water tanks in the desert and drafting recommendations for border policies. The volunteer will have the opportunity for a significant cross-cultural immersion into and critical reflection on the gospel in a globalized society. Funds raised in support of our young adult volunteers go toward program costs for their participation in this one-year program. |
