Kristin Hamner will provide face-to-face assistance to communities of economically poor, oppressed and disadvantaged people in the Dominican Republic wanting to establish a partnership with The Presbyterian Committee on the Self-Development of People. She will maintain contact with the groups and provide technical assistance when needed. To involve Presbyterian congregations wanting to do mission in the Dominican Republic Kristin will be available to arrange work camps and site-visits. Kristin's work is in partnership with Foundation for Peace.
Examples of what a specific amount would accomplish: $500 would help bring clean water to communities; $400 could assist in the building of latrines; $100 would assist farmers in the purchase of farm animals; $75 would help women receive desperately needed training in income generating projects. |
