Bob and Julie Dunsmore serve as companionship facilitators for the Joining Hands network based in La Paz. They join with churches and non-governmental organizations dedicated to addressing root causes of hunger and poverty in Bolivia. The network is called UMAVIDA, an acronym in Spanish for "Joining Hands for Life." Their work comes at a critical time as Bolivians rewrite their constitution to reflect forbearance toward over 30 ethnic groups. The Dunsmores' 30 years of mission experience in Latin America equips them for this role of accompanying the people of Bolivia as they create a more just society for all people. |
