Rev. Dr. Paul Linder Love, an ordained PC(USA) minister and a professor of English, is director of the Study Centre for Indian Literature in English and Translation, which is part of the American College in Madurai. The Centre facilitates the translation of regional-language writing into English so literature in these languages can be more widely read. Paul, who has been teaching in India for some 50 years, helped develop the first graduate program in the humanities for this predominantly science-oriented college. |
