In Africa, AIDS is destroying a generation |
| |
| |
- Every 18 seconds, someone in Africa dies of AIDS.
- In Africa, AIDS is a heterosexual disease; mothers and fathers
are dying, leaving orphans.
- Without a productive workforce, economies are in danger of
collapse.

African church partners are responding
to God's call |
| |
| |
- The church sheds light by decreasing
stigma and discrimination.
- The church brings life by providing
care and support.
- The church calls people to responsible
sexual behavior.
- The impact of the disease is greater
than our partner churches can bear alone; they need your support.

This disease can be stopped |
| |
| |
- AIDS is preventable.
- One African country (Uganda) reduced
the spread of the disease in ten years, through an emphasis
on behavior change:
- Abstinence
- Being Faithful
- Condom use
- Presbyterians can make a difference.
