HIV/AIDS -
acquired through sex
that kills . . .
there is no cure!!

A disease -
HIV/AIDS -
acquired from mother to child
that kills . . .
there is no cure!!
But there is prevention -

SO lessons learned from Uganda
Youths not started having sex - delay sex debut
Abstain
Married couples and those with partners - reduce sex partners
Be Faithful

Those who started having sex but have no regular partner -

STOP!

Secondary Abstinence
And if sex is unavoidable - use a condom to reduce risk, but do not make it a habit as this is not foolproof.

Mother-to-Child-Transmission (MTCT)

Lessons learned in Africa -
Majority of babies are born at home
Many mothers give birth unattended
Mothers are afraid to be tested for HIV

MTCT Prevention programs -
Reach the women who attend births at home
Teach gentle birth techniques
Teach breastfeeding support
Provide full range of welcome services in clinics
Support and care for those who test positive
Make anti-retroviral treatment available
Teach breastfeeding truths. [Read more]

A disease -
HIV/AIDS -
That affects 30% of some southern African countries
70% of the same African countries are not affected
Projects that keep the 70% healthy, that support the added work of farming without fathers and caring for children without parents, this is very important work!
Clean water, adequate food, shelter, education, agricultural assistance, sustainable projects.
Disease and poverty "poverty is the underlying obstacle to human well-being".

  Gold Divider Rule

If a disease has no cure, then let us prevent that disease from ever beginning!
Since the "vaccine" that works is ABC,
Pastors, teachers, volunteers, neighbors, parents -
take up the campaign and tell about ABC and
how this approach can prevent HIV/AIDS.

If a disease can be passed from mother to her baby, then let us take actions to prevent this transmission!
Because 90% of the children who have HIV/AIDS were infected by their own mother,
MTCT Prevention programs go into the community to make a difference.

If more than 70% of a people do not have a disease, then let us take actions to keep these people
Well, healthy, disease-resistant, productive and strong.
Poverty and disease are very closely linked.
Programs that support African solutions to the poverty, famine and loss of production
Will help prevent the further spread of the disease - HIV/AIDS.

African partners seek others to work with them in these solutions.
