Among the Congolese guests at the 2008 Congo Mission Network meeting were Monique Misenga, (left) coordinator of the Women's Center of the Presbyterian Community of Kinshasa, and (right) Simon N'tumba Tshitenge, managing director of IMPROKA, the Protestant Printing Press of the Kasai. In the center is Bill Reinhold from Philadelphia, a staff member of Philadelphia Presbytery and former missionary. Myers Park Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, N.C., hosted the 2008 meeting.

The Congo Mission Network brings together representatives of congregations and presbyteries as well as individuals who are involved in or want to know more about mission activities in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The Congo Mission Network is one of more than three dozen similar PC(USA) groups whose members  meet annually to coordinate their mission efforts, share best practices and develop strategies as they enjoy a rich time of fellowship together.

Plans are being made for the 2009 Congo Mission Network meeting  to be held in conjunction with the PC(USA) Mission Celebration in Cincinnati, Oct. 20-23. For more information on the Congo Mission Network, email the convener, Phyllis Green.
