Take action by exercising your citizenship

Be an advocate for hungry people by...
- writing your senator today asking for support for the Energy Security through Transparency (ESTT) Act, which will fight corruption in the oil, gas and mining industries and help end poverty.
- sending postcards to the CEO of your neighborhood grocery store asking for payment of fair wages to their tomato pickers. Companies are very alert to what their consumer base communicates to them. Your witness matters.
- joining Bread for the World, the Christian citizens' organization lobbying for government policies that address the needs of poor and hungry people
- supporting your state or local anti-hunger coalition
- writing your members of Congress and state legislators and letting them know about your concern for hungry people
- supporting legislative efforts that address the needs of hungry people and provide opportunities for low-income people to help themselves
- Join the One Campaign to make poverty history
- Let Justice Roll
- A living wage campaign of more than fifty faith-based and community-based organizations.
