We Believe will once again produce its All-Church Summer multi-age curriculum, appropriate for preschool-age children through adults. It will include mission stories from around the world as well as an opportunity for the people of God to learn together, regardless of age. This year there is the added bonus of the summer sessions following the Revised Common Lectionary. Scripture texts are from the Gospel of John and the prophet Isaiah. Psalms, the Gospel of Mark, and the letter to the Ephesians are also included in some of the sessions.
The theme, God’s Grace: Our Acts of Gratitude, encourages all of us, from the youngest to the oldest, to consider the ways in which we are invited to respond to the abundance of God’s grace in our lives.
Students will have the opportunity to learn more about Honduras, Haiti, Ethiopia, and Madagascar. They will hear the story of Juanita Pedro from Guatemala and Phyllis Byrd from Kenya. They can even enhance their experience by using the curriculum in conjunction with the 2006 Children’s Mission Yearbook for Prayer & Study. Their understanding of the Christian faith in practice will be deepened. Doors will open so that students of every age are free to respond to the call of God in their lives.
We Believe All-Church Summer 2006, God’s Grace: Our Acts of Gratitude, will be available February 2006. |
