As
in the past, this curriculum contains sessions for Easter and
Christmas to allow for maximum flexibility. You will notice
immediately that the piece has undergone some cosmetic changes
to fit better into the We Believe
family of curriculum. Each session will now follow the A, B,
C, D format found in other We Believe curricula. A
is for Assemble: God Calls Us Together; B is
for Bible Study: We Hear God’s Word; C
is for Claim: We Respond to God’s Word; and D
is for Depart: God Sends Us Into the World. Those are the titles
for the session’s four sections. Each session will also
include an Evaluate section with questions for the teachers
to reflect on while preparing for the coming sessions. The Future
section will include the items needed for various activities
that require more preparation. As with So
Great a Cloud of Witnesses: A Survey of Church History
the curriculum is presented in two parts: a Leader’s Guide
and a reproducible Student Book. Additional copies of the Student
Book may be purchased if desired.
Other aids to the teachers include a Background for Teachers
section to introduce each session. This paragraph will help
the teacher by providing additional context and other information
to help in planning and teaching the class. A list of all the
materials used in the session, called You Will Need, will be
found in the sidebar at the beginning of each session.
Content changes in the session make the class more interactive.
Guided instructions will help the teacher draw the students
into the session and provide more time for student discussion.
A separate student’s book has also been included. This
book will contain the same activities as the previous version.
It can be purchased for each student or reproduced.
Although With All Boldness and Freedom was designed
for younger youth, churches have found this comprehensive resource
useful in a variety of settings involving other age groups—confirmation
courses, new member courses, and even officer training are just
a few examples.
With All Boldness and Freedom is the first of three
