Is it true?

Jesus’ appearance before Pontius Pilate is a scene of unusual poignancy. Recently hailed by adoring crowds, Jesus of Nazareth now stands accused before the power of Rome. He has been betrayed by one of his disciples, denied by another and abandoned by all of them. He has been rejected by religious
authorities and shuttled off to undergo judgment by political powers.

Black and Presbyterian:
Looking Back to Grow Forward

The National Black Presbyterian Caucus’s 39th convention was also the 200th celebration of Black Presbyterianism. This convention like no other afforded the caucus an opportunity to evaluate itself and redirect
its course for the future. More than 600 persons, of whom more than 200 were youth, attended the conference in Philadelphia in July 2007.

Why does the PC(USA) produce resources in Spanish?

This is a question I often hear as I travel around doing workshops for Latinos and others. Sometimes it seems like resources do not sell well. Budgets are decreasing and we are, after all, a mostly English-speaking
denomination and society.

The mission projects selected for Adventure:
A Treetop Bible Blast! have strong connections to caring for God’s creation and meeting real needs of God’s people.

The Vacation Bible School Mission Project (#E051231) for 2008 is Living Waters for the World — a ministry of the Synod of Living Waters of the PC(USA) that addresses the most important physical need of growing children in Peru and worldwide: clean water.
