Religions for Peace USA
RFP-USA is a national representative interfaith body working in a variety of
areas.
The
Interfaith Relations Office of the National Council of Churches of Christ and
the Interfaith Relations Commission are carrying out important ecumenical efforts
in building interfaith relations, and offer a number of additional resources.
The
Interreligious Relations Office of the World Council of Churches provides
a window on global developments in interfaith relations, and also offers important
resources, including their regular journhal, Current Dialogue.
Pluralism
Project
The Pluralism Project has brought together great amounts of information about
the faith groups living in the United States, the locations of their centers
and places of worship, and other fruits of years of field research.
The
Children's Sabbath is an interfaith effort coordinated
by the Children's Defense Fund to help people of faith learn about the problems
facing children and poor families in the United States.
The Network of Spiritual Progresssives is
an emerging interfaith network focusing on issues of social justice from a prophetic
persepective. Rabbi Michael Lerner and Jim Wallis are leaders in this effort.

Primary times of prayer and celebration for the world’s
religions, with brief definitions of different religions.
Beliefnet
A site that offers access to a potpourri of information, opinion
and interactive options in relation to many religions and issues
of religion.

Buddhism
Institute for the Study of Religion and Culture
The Institute's primary goal is to provide and nurture a broad ecumenical religious
vision for the people of Thailand and Southeast Asia and for others visiting
or working in the region. Although the focus of the Institute is mainly on Thailand
and Southeast Asia, the Institute also seeks to promote and foster increased
mutual appreciation and cooperation among the world's different religious communities
and to contribute to greater inter-religious understanding among all peoples
everywhere.

a public service agency working for the civil rights of American Muslims, for

Islamic Society of North America
The largest umbrella group of the Muslim community in the United
States, with information about mosques, conferences, prayers
and many other subjects.
Islamic Circle of North America
A smaller Muslim organization with an active relief and development program and
many educational resources.
Council on American-Islamic Relations
CAIR's mission is to enhance understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect
civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice
and mutual understanding.

The Jewish Reconstructionist
Federation is
the organization of congregations that are part of the fourth (and youngest)
recognized branch of American Judaism. Their Web site provides information and
news about Reconstructionist Judaism, as well as information about programs,
congregations, people and issues in this lively Jewish community.
The United Synagoguge
of Conservative Judaism Web site provides
access to the activities, resources and ideas of the Movement of Conservative
Judaism in the United States.
The Jewish
Council for Public Affairs serves
as the representative voice of the organized American Jewish community in the
Jewish community relations field, to safeguard the rights of Jews here, in Israel
and around the world; and, in order to accomplish that, to protect, preserve
and promote a just American society. Their Web site is a great source for insight
into public policy concerns of the Jewish community in the United States.
Union for Reform Judiasm
This Web
site provides access to a wealth of information about the activities of Reform
Jews and Reform organizations, plus many resources.
