any of the ECO (Extra Commitment Opportunity) accounts set up
by the International Evangelism Office of the Worldwide Ministries
Division BY CHECK:
-
Make out your check to the Presbyterian Church
(USA).
-
On the memo line of the check, write the
ECO number and a short description of the designation.
For example:
-
E051623 — Evangelism in Croatia
-
E040036 — Kurdish Outreach
-
E040061 — Roma
-
E863014 — Bible Translation, to
help wherever needed
*For all Frontier Mission Bible Translation Projects the ECO account number is 863014 and the ECO account name is Bible Translation.
-
E8633014 — Bible Translation, Surma
*Surma is an example of the optional designation
of a specific Bible Translation Project.
-
E040022 — Murle Bible Translation
in Sudan
*Non-Frontier Bible Translation Projects among reached
people groups such as this one each have their own separate
ECO Account number.
- On a separate sheet of paper, write a longer description
of your donation. Please tell us in a paragraph or two
exactly who you want to receive the money, the amount of the
gift, and what it is to be used for, if you have a very specific
designation in mind. However, please bear in mind that the
more specific the donation, the less freedom the partner church
or agency has in applying your gift to the area with the greatest
need. Please include your name and full address, especially
if it is different from what's on your check, so that your
gift can be properly acknowledged.
- Please make a copy of the letter. Send the check and one
copy of the note to:
Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)
Individual Remittance Processing
P.O. Box 643700
Pittsburgh, PA 15264-3700
(Church sessions should remit checks through their presbytery
or normal giving channels)
- Please send the other copy of the note to:
International Evangelism Office
Presbyterian Church (USA)
100 Witherspoon Street
Louisville, KY 40202-1396
- If you wish, you can also notify the donee of your gift,
but it is not necessary. When the money arrives, the International
Evangelism Office will notify the designated party of the
gift, and provide them with your name (or the name of your
church, presbytery or organization) as well as address so
that they can acknowledge your gift directly.
You will also be mailed a receipt from Central
Receiving that you can use for your taxes.
