2008 Team Profile
The Rev. Dr. Maqsood P. Kamil currently serves as professor of systematic theology and homiletics at the Gujranwala Theological Seminary, and as the executive secretary of the Presbyterian Church of Pakistan. Maqsood has taught and pastored churches in Pakistan for many years and is the author of four books, including Doing Theology in Pakistan. In March 2008, he received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, where he received his Master of Arts in Religion. Maqsood and his wife Ruby have three children.
The Honorable Khurram Dastgir Khan is an engineer by training and presently serves as a member of Parliament in Pakistan, to which he was elected in the recent elections there. He is a central joint secretary of his party, the Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz), which is working for civil liberty and political and economic stability in the country. K.D. (as he is called by U.S. friends) was educated at Bowdoin College and the California Institute of Technology. He writes regularly for Pakistani newspapers, and is known as a trenchant critic of authoritarianism. He and his wife have been blessed with one daughter.
