Hi Friends,
Thanks to all of you who are making dreams become reality! The
link below was the lead story in the Tucson morning newspaper
today!

[Editor's note: The above link will probably not function
more than a week after the date of the letter.]
We are glad to be getting some more publicity. The business is
going good and the cooperative is succeeding, we are very grateful.
Mark and Tommy will be in Chiapas during the first two weeks of
November to visit with the coffee farmers and make plans for the
2004 season. Please pray for us.
I hope you visit our Web site and maybe order some coffee too.
It is great coffee. Let us know what you think about the story.
By the way, the coffee makes great Christmas gifts.
Thanks so much too all that have prayed, helped and ordered!
Visit us at our Web site: www.justcoffee.org.
Report from November 24, 2002 to September 29,
2003
A few numbers for the first nine months of roasting:
- Pounds of roasted coffee exported: 10,377 (for which 13,000
pounds of green coffee beans were needed).
- 100-pound bags (already bought, roasted and exported): 130.
- Number of 100-pound bags bought and in the shop: 63.
- Total number of bags bought: 193.
- Money to farmer ($130 each bag): $25,090 (265,954 pesos).
- Price given to farmer on "free market" ($35 each
bag): $6,755 (71,603 pesos).
- Difference between Just Coffee and the free market: $18,335
(194,351 pesos).
- In addition, there are three employees working at double
the prevailing wage, with plans to add one more this month.
Currently, we are hoping to triple the number of quintales
for next year, which would imply increasing the number of
employees. So far, our goals have always been less than God
has planned, so who knows what the quarterly update may be
saying a year from now.
If your church or organization is not already participating in
this miracle, please contact me to find out how you can get on
board.
Peace,
Mark Adams
