June 2001
Dear Friends,
We are winding up our time in Changchun. In fact, as you already
know, we will not return to China for one year. During that time
we will hope to meet with as many of you as possible to share
what the Lord is doing in China and what we are doing as a small
part of His work. We will also be studying and rewriting books
as well as spending as much time with family and friends as possible.
We will leave here on June 27 so you will need to note the address,
telephone and e-mail changes.
It has been another busy semesterfull of students who want
time and attention. Jay has been especially busy since he was
teaching three different courses and had to write new material
for one of them. This last period of time has been very busy because
all of the Chinese students and colleagues are determined to come
and visit before we leave so we have students in our home almost
every afternoon and evening.
We have already sent our goods by sea and we were amazed at how
smoothly everything went. I am sure that the whole process was
covered with grace and I thank many of you for praying specifically
for the move. We sent our things to California since we will be
returning to China from there.
On our way home, we will be stopping for a few days in London
to visit with our daughter who is working in her church in Europe.
She is an intern for the Four Square Gospel Church and plans to
be in Europe for a year. Since it will be the year we are home,
we decided that we would have to go to see her. At the same time
we will also be meeting with former Chinese students who are presently
living in England.
Again, we do thank you for all your support and prayers. Please
continue to pray for us and for our time at home. Please feel
free to contact us so that we can spend some time with you. We
will be returning to China in August of 2002.
Blessings,
Susan and Jay Boone
