Dear Friends,

We're pleased to announce the birth of our daughter, Laurey Léa Johnson, who was born Wednesday, November 2 at 12 :06 a.m at the Mahaska County Hospital in Oskaloosa, Iowa. She weighs 6 lbs, 2 oz (2.78 kg) and is 18.5" (47.5 cm) long.

Both mother and daughter are in good health, although Aïchatou has been
fighting nausea since the birth. Labor was induced on Tuesday, November 1
at 8:00 a.m. The two will likely remain in the hospital until Thursday evening
or Friday morning.

Thanks for your kind thoughts and prayers!
