Dear Sisters and Brothers,
Our flight from St. Petersburg to Los Angeles was trouble free,
and gorgeous sunny and warm weather welcomed us along with our
children and grandchildren.
As you all know, this last academic term has been the most challenging
and stressful time in our 14 years of mission work—not
because of the work itself but because of the auto accident we
had on September 24. Joe had to be off work one week before his
body allowed him to return. Yet he has made up all the assigned
teaching load and has not missed any single lesson. He was asked
to preach at the closing service right before our departure. So
do we feel that our mission has been fulfilled! Please know that
it was possible for us to finish our work only because of the
support your prayers extended to us during this turbulent time.
As for our wrecked car, we decided to repair it, even though
it will cost thousands of dollars. We got the police report of
the accident only a couple of days before our departure. We authorized
our seminary business manager, Valentin, to take care of all the
repair works during our nine-month leave.
With this update we would like to extend our warm and sincere
seasonal greetings to you all. May “the Logos-happened-as-flesh”
be with you, your family, and your ministry in joy, happiness,
and blessings!
Shalom,
Joe and Hannah Kang
