Dear friends around the world,
What's happening with Sue and Art Kinsler? God has opened new
doors and continues to bless in existing situations.
Since April Art has been the preacher for the new English-language
service at Myung Sung Presbyterian Church. Average Sunday attendance
has been around 300, mostly church members of this large Korean
congregations known for its prayer life.
Sue has taken several trips to northeast China, taking used clothes
and small donations for the local churches and seminary students
there. News reports of the many who have fled there from North
Korea and are in danger of being returned show the great need
and opportunity.
Sue continues to be advisor for the Koinonia Sheltered Workshop
for the Challenged and is involved with its outreach as a social
center. She advises the workshop members on spiritual\personal\work
problems, buys the materials for the workshops, and helps design
their products.
Art has a new title at the Inter-Presbyterian Mission Office
since becoming a mission volunteer when be turned 65. He is "facilitator"
and still assists the Presbyterian Church of Korea Assembly offices
and helps the chaplain's office at Soongsil University.
In July Sue and Art were in California sorting out Art's mother's
things, since she is now residing in the health center at Westminster
Gardens. Daughter Elaine is adjusting to her new adult home for
those mentally\physically challenged in Upland, California. Son
Ross is teaching high school this year in Honolulu, and John has
had his music CD on the market in Korea.
We have been blessed by your prayers and offerings that enable
us in many ways. Twice our efforts to visit North Korea have had
the visa application rejected, but pray for those who suffer terrible
physical and spiritual hunger there.
Representing Christ for you in Seoul,
Art and Sue Kinsler
