"Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your
feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have
set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.”
John 13:14-15
Join us this week in giving thanks to God:
- For this week of worship and celebration, as we remember our
Lord’s sacrifice and resurrection and the new life made
possible for us in him.
- For the dedication worship service and the gift of land donated
by the Contreras family for the new Nueva Jerusalén church
to be built in Castaños.
- For the special prayer and worship events that have been held
in Nuevo Laredo public parks encouraging everyone to continue
praying for peace in this city and state.
- For the relative peace that the area seems to be experiencing,
especially compared to last year’s drug violence.
- For the return to health of Roberto’s family and me,
after battling colds, coughs, and flu.
- For the many dedicated people connected to the Amistad ministry
who give of their time, money, and talent as they go about the
work that God puts before them.
Join us this week in seeking God’s intervention
on behalf of:
- Veronica Alvarez and husband Raul, as they mourn the death
of their unborn baby.
- Janet, who has a benign brain tumor that is causing severe
memory loss.
- Former Amistad secretary Josefina Rios de Castaneda, who has
been diagnosed with breast cancer. She is the wife of Dr. Vicente
Castaneda.
- New church member Yasmine, who is experiencing problems with
her brothers who object to her joining the church. Pray for
her brothers to be understanding and someday join the church
as well.
Please pray for:
- Spiritual growth at Uno en El Espiritu. Pray for the potential
ministry to kids in the area who are left alone during the day
while parents work.
- This week’s mission teams from Plattsburgh, New York,
and Moorestown, New Jersey. Pray for safe travel and great blessings
for them and the churches that host them in Nuevo Laredo and
Acuña.
- Your specific friends and partner church in Mexico. Pray for
strengthening of the churches throughout Northern Mexico.
Chris
Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s
mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing
to God – this is your spiritual act of worship.
