February 20, 2007
Dear Family and Friends,

Todd, Tricia, Katelyn and Alyssa Reinschmidt.
We hope that your holidays were a blessing, and you are off to
a great start in 2007. God has blessed us richly as always. If
you have not heard yet, our family now has another member, and
as you can see by the picture, we are a new and improved Reinschmidt
family. We welcomed Alyssa Michelle into this world on December
10, 2006. She is currently a fast-growing healthy baby girl; thank
you, God. Katelyn still continues to love and thrive in kindergarten.
She is now reading, completing math problems, and I am proud to
announce won a first place, blue ribbon, in her first science
fair. She experimented with invisible ink. In kindergarten! Can
you believe that?
As most of you know, Tricia and I will be leaving Pasos de Fe
so that I can further follow God’s plan for me. I will be
starting at Columbia Theological Seminary this summer. Our plan
is to leave the borderland during the last week of May.
Our time here has been so wonderful. We have met many wonderful
people and have participated and witnessed so many wonderful blessings.
We have invested three and a half years of our life into this
ministry, and care very much for it. We have been a little worried
about how it will survive in the future with only half the staff.
Our Mexican partner, Jaime Duenas, the Mexican coordinator, is
a great guy, but there is simply too much work running and operating
this ministry for one person to do it alone.
We are pleased to report that the board of directors has recently
voted for and approved Christie Hoffman to replace us as U.S.
coordinator. She is a wonderful person and a wonderful Christian.
We feel good now to be leaving the ministry in hands that God
means to carry on all the work we were able to accomplish.
Our spring and summer calendar is nearly full. We are planning
to start two new projects this year (school scholarships and food
banks), and many lives continue to be blessed as a result of this
ministry. It will be hard to leave. But knowing that we are leaving
the ministry in good hands and that we are continuing to follow
God’s will for us will make it easier, or at least acceptable.
We know that we will have some hard and challenging times ahead
of us as I enter seminary, but with your help, we’ll be
able to make it through.
As always, we keep you all in our prayers, and thank you for
all you do and mean to us.
May God continue to bless you, your family, and your church,
Most lovingly in Christ,
Todd, Tricia, Katelyn and Alyssa Reinschmidt
