PC(USA) - Mission Connections


	A letter from Sadegh Sepehri in Germany

	November 2004 A report from Iranians in Budapest Several months ago, our colleague, the PC(USA) mission co-worker Mr. Burkard Paetzold, informed us of a group of Iranians gathering in Budapest. It would be nice, he suggested, if we could pay them a visit.

	These six young people from Iran live in a refugee camp outside Budapest, Hungary. They were recently baptized by the Rev. Sadegh Sepehri.				After trying for several days, I managed to talk to another PC(USA) colleague, the Reverend Kathy Angi, who works in Budapest, and then with Mr. Firoz, an Iranian in Bulgaria who has become Christian. Finally, we traveled to Budapest to find out a great opportunity for teaching and evangelizing. We stayed for four days. About 15 young people were gathering everyday, and all of them were hungry for the word of God.

	Three months later we made another trip to Budapest and found that the results of our first trip were that six people had opened their heart to the Lord. So for five full days we stayed with them and taught them about the Christian faith. Then, on Sunday, in a special worship service, all of them were baptized. Mrs. Soheyla and Mr. Ali, Mohammmad Ali, Hamid reza, Hassan, and Monouchehr were all Moslem, all refugees living in a refugee camp in Hungary, and now they have a new life in Jesus. Praise the Lord.
