Seasons greetings!
Seasons greetings from us to you. We rejoice with you knowing
that the Christ child has come bringing us “good news of
great joy.” This is the season we join the angels in praising
God and singing: “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth
peace to men on whom his favor rests” (Luke 2:14).
This is the season when we remember God’s goodness toward
us in 2004. We remember how God moved us from the shallow backwaters
of life into a wide ocean of human need. We remember how God called
us from being just church members in the United States to mission
in Africa.
This is the season when we anticipate our Christian hope for
the future. We hope that God’s Kingdom comes soon. We are
waiting for the time when justice rolls down like a mighty river
and righteousness like a never-failing stream.
This is the season when we are filled with great expectation.
We are expecting the same spirit to come to us that caused the
angels to sing on the Judean hillside, led the shepherds to visit,
and the wise men to present their gifts.
This is our season for spiritual renewal. A time when we rededicate
more of our time, talents, and resources to the “Giver of
the greatest gift.” Thanks for sharing this season with
us and may the “reason for the season” bless you daily.
In February 2005, we are returning to the United States to await
reassignment. We are available for mission interpretation.
Happy Holidays,
Otis and Earline |
