Dear Friends and Family,
At this special time of year we rejoice in all that we have
been fortunate to have been a part of during the year, to have
been where we have been and doing the things that we have done.
Of course, like so many, our circumstances tell us that we have
not completed our journey at year’s end, and we know that
the processes we are involved in are only partially done.
We have had many joys and have felt good about our roles. We
have met new challenges and made some small transitions. We have
seen the glint of hope shining in people’s eyes and the
thirst for transformation in their spirit. Successes, challenges,
and sorrows are part of the journey in our work in Honduras.
Our own lives have centered on so many positive aspects that
we give special thanks. Our girls are all fine and are a wonderful
inspiration to us. The words from Isaiah 40: 10-11 come to mind
at this time of year with hope for something better in the coming
year: for us and for you, for the world we live in and for so
many people who have little more than hope for something better
ahead.
The Sovereign Lord is coming to rule with power, bringing with
him the people he has rescued. He will take care of his flock
like a shepherd; he will gather the lambs together and carry them
in his arms.
Let peace reign on earth, and may you find peace and love and
joy in your endeavors throughout 2007.
