Dear Friends,

I have now been in Denver for about two months. Already I am falling in love with Colorado and falling more deeply in love with God. The recurring theme for me right now is that God is bigger than we can ever imagine. He is bigger than the breathtaking mountains, bigger than differences in liberal and conservative views, bigger than poverty and homelessness.

I feel great confirmation in my service at The Gathering Place (TGP), a daytime drop-in center for women and children. I am daily challenged to show compassion and love for the women and children at TGP. And daily I am learning so much from my co-workers and the people we serve.

My main responsibilities include staffing volunteers for the computer lab, assisting women with writing resumes and searching for jobs, and supporting programs in our Personal Growth and Learning Department. I am beginning to develop relationships with the women at TGP. There are so many moving and heart-wrenching stories, and I feel very privileged to have the opportunity to be a part of their lives. 

Thank you so much for your support for me in this endeavor. I cannot tell you how much it means to know that I have a network of prayer and support surrounding me, even if it is miles away.
