  Two South African friends who teach at a school in my province invited me and another American for a weekend. In order to give their students a chance to "experience real Americans" we had a "Western Party" with dances ranging from the Virginia Reel to the latest Brittany Spears.

  My South African friend Jody and the owners of a noodle shop who have befriended him. They are Chinese but from a Muslim minority group.

  Church on Christmas Eve in China is not a traditional worship service, but rather a performance aimed at the non-Christians who pile into the church at such a rate that there are tickets and police at the doors who turn people away. This is Pastor Xia.
