"We are grateful for the location of our home, which is
on the far edge of the seminary campus. The location has enabled
us to befriend families from the village and not just be isolated
in the seminary compound. Most of our childrens friends
are from the village. We feel we get the best of both worlds,
being a part of this wonderful seminary community and also getting
to know our neighbors in the village.
"We feel blessed to be a part of the life and work here
at the Presbyterian Theological Seminary and to be working with
the fine people of the PCC. We have found Cameroonians to be a
warm, friendly, and most hospitable people. The students are eager
to learn and grateful for the opportunity to dialogue with those
from other parts of the world.
"The PCC has many hopes and dreams for this seminary. The
leaders hope that in the near future they will add a masters
degree program. There is certainly a great need for more pastorsmost
pastors must care for five or six congregations. There is room
for more students at the seminary, but due to financial restraints
the seminary is unable to admit more students.
"The economic difficulties in Cameroon affects the amount
the average parishioner is able to give. Thus, the PCC cant
go all out in providing training to pastors, educators, and leaders
to the churches and denomination as a whole. We are grateful for
the contribution we are able to make in the training of pastors
and to the overall work of the PCC."
